Education
- 1967-1972: Completed Artist's diploma program (Master's degree
equivalent) in chamber music, pedagogy, and orchestra solo cello
performance from the Tchaikovsky Conservatory of Music, Moscow,
Russia. Studied cello with Natalia Shakhovskaya and Mstislav
Rostropovich (now director of the Washington, D. C. National
Orchestra). Studied chamber music with Dmitri Shebalin, of the
Borodin Quartet.
- 1967: Obtained a Diploma for cello and piano performance
from the Special School for Exceptionally Gifted Children in
Moscow.
Professional Experience
- 1997 - pres.: Founding member and cellest of the L'Amoroso
String Quartet, with Alex Palamides on violin and other members
of the San Diego Symphony, San Diego, CA.
- 1997, Dec.: Concert tour of Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, Japan
with the L'Amoroso String Quartet and music faculty members from
the Senzoku Gakuen University, Tokyo, Japan.
- 1997, Oct.: Performed solo recitals at the University of
San Diego and the Athenaeum in La Jolla including works such
as the Rhapsody for Cello and Piano by Henry Kolar.
- 1996 - pres.: Founding member of Trio Opus 3, performing
works for cello, clarinet and piano in Mexico and California.
- 1990 -1995: Founding member of the Moscow String Quartet
in Mexico City.
- 1975 - 1990: Active recitalist and pedagogue in Moscow, Russia.
- 1972 - 1975: Section cello with the Moscow radio and Television
Orchestra under the direction of Maxim Shostakovich.

of Tour, France with maestros Vladimir Spivakov, Yuri Baschmet,

Hall.
- 1976 - 1990: Instructor of cello pedagogy at the Tchaikovsky
