Pierre Probst and Enid Blyton: Old Acquaintances?

Sometime during the 1950s or 1960s, a British author by the name of Enid Blyton evidently received the English rights to some of Pierre Probst's work. It appears that she took the books of Pierre and translated them to English and/or created her own stories. Many of these titles are related to the Les Albums Roses series, but others are ones that I have not seen in any other language besides these.

I picked up a couple of these books, and they are good, but the stories aren't as witty as some of Pierre's best work. It is unclear if that is due to her translations, or the fact that at the time the originals were created, Probst was not in his "groove" yet.

Since there seems to be a Blyton-contingent (as well as a Probst contingent) on Ebay, these titles often go for high prices, considering their size and content. The range for the approximately 50 Blyton books that have sold on Ebay in the last two years is anywhere from $8.00 to $76.00, with the average around $30.
