Scott Sechman and Jamie Browning are one of Southern California's
finest acoustic duos, eschewing the typical folksinger
fare and embracing the obscure. With a songlist
that is so large it's never been completely
committed to paper, Sechman & Browning refuse to be
contained by self-imposed limits and will attempt
nearly anything... (for a price), making each
performance unique. Sechman & Browning are not just a
couple of old dudes, but old dudes that have a firm grasp on what it takes to keep an audience entertained. Being well-versed in the music of the
50's and 60's , Sechman & Browning also draw from the
best music of the 70's, 80's and 90's . All of the
familiar hits are there, but Sechman & Browning can play
those forgotten songs - the ones that you rarely,
if ever, hear a band play. From the Beatles and Bob
Dylan to Howlin' Wolf, The Hollies & John Waite, Sechman & Browning
cover all of the musical bases. Top it off with a fine batch of
original songs and everything is wrapped up in one
neat package.
Sechman & Browning are amongst the most
experienced musicians in California. Jamie's career not only includes replacing John Hall in Orleans, but also a solo career that dates from the 1960's and includes a couple of Adult Contemporary chart hits from his 1997 CD release "Bridge 0f Words". Couple that with his position as the lead guitarist for the Righteous Brothers Band and it's evident that he's a World Class musician with impeccable credentials.
Scott has performed in Southern California for over 25 years in various bands including a stint playing guitar with The Grass Roots. Recently he eschewed the rigors of "doing that rock band thing" and dusted off his acoustic guitar. Some say that the amplified music world is a much safer place as a result.
Sechman & Browning have recently joined forces with Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee Bill Medley in an "unplugged" format that has Mr. Medley singing songs from his Righteous Brothers catalog as well as from his solo career in a totally different fashion.
Sechman & Browning are available for all occasions and fuctions that might require music.
