Sgt-Maj. Brian Douglas Chaffin,
Adjutant
joined Company A in May of 1997 at San Jose,
California.
Sergeant Major Chaffin's
people on his father's side come from Tennessee and North Carolina. His
mother's folks are from Atlanta, Georgia. Before the onset of the
war, Sgt-Maj. Chaffin was a history teacher at an academy for wayward youth.
He is happily married to the former Suzanne Pierson Ellison of literary fame,
and the proud father of a beautiful daughter and two handsome sons, one of which has blessed him with
two precious grandchildren.
