BeipMU is a 32-Bit Windows client, fully functional on all versions of Windows, with a wide scope of options, preferences, and useful features.
Windows 95 Specific Instructions
If you use Windows 95 then there's one extra piece of software
that you will need to have installed, Winsock 2.
Getting Winsock 2 is simple-- it's a free download from Microsoft and takes only about five minutes to download, set up, and reboot!
A shortcut for Winsock 2 has been provided.
Installation instructions are fairly easy, if ws2setup.exe does not run once you've downloaded it, that means you already have Winsock 2
and can continue with downloading BeipMU next! |
How to Install BeipMU
BeipMU comes packed in Zipped format, which means you must have WinZip or a similar program to get
it unpacked. If you don't have WinZip, We recommend getting it. It's basically free, and almost a necessity if you want to be able to download anything off the web.
Included in the BeipMU Zip file is a Configuration file, which includes all the instructions on how to run BeipMU. BeipMU does not currently
need an install program since all you need to do to install it is make a directory for it, unzip the files into that directory and run! We don't touch the registry, and all settings are saved in a text file in the directory Beip is run from (config.txt), so to uninstall Beip just delete it's directory. It's that simple.
To repeat, Beip does not touch the registry or any system
components! So you can even stick it on a floppy and run it all from there as it doesn't need to be installed and is still under 200k!
