In what now seems like another life I was married to Elizabeth, who died at a very early age. You can click HERE for a page dedicated to her memory.
While I am relativity new to the inter net, I first began playing around with computers in the early 1980's with the old Atari 8-bit and ran a BBS ( Modem Hell ) for about 10 years with hot rodded Atari 8 bits. ATascii was the name of the game in those days.
I became a ham radio operator in 1993, with the call of KD6TTM. After a year of being a "no-code" tech, I studied morse code and theory and upgraded to advanced and received the call KN6ZE. ( I sorta 'skipped' general, as I couldn't find a test date when I was ready, and I dug into the advanced theroy and took both tests at once. ) I goofed off for another year before hitting code and theory again and upgrading the final time to extra and then applied for the vanity call I now hold, W6EZ. Ham radio has been very rewarding for me. It has allowed me to learn many things I thought I was incapable of understanding, and has allowed me pass some of this new knowledge on to others. That may just be what I love about it the most.
I have been a car nut most of my life and have raced formula ford race cars at places like Sears Point and Laguna Seca. While I have never been a 'super star' in racing circles, the sport has provided me with a lot of thrills and allowed me to meet a lot of quality people. Great racers are like great amateur radio operators, in that they enjoy their hobby for the pure joy of it, and want every one to enjoy it with them.
I have included a few pages here that you may be interested in I hope you find the areas presented as enjoyable as I have.
