Here are some pictures of the event:
Here are Rudi Pfeiffer, Ron Frankum, Errol Kubicki, and Erik Nilsen
setting up Ron's two new modules. Ron had three modules in the layout.
Overall, there were thirteen modules, set up in a "U" shape, with Errol's
impressive yard in the center of the layout. We ran mostly DCC, but
we were able to test out a couple of AC locomotives for the buyers at the
swap meet.
Here is Ron discussing his scenic-building techniques with Will van Oldenmark and John Oberhaus. Ron has a narrow-guage (HOm) track running on his module as well as the ETE-spec mainline.
Here is the right-hand side of the layout, with Erik Nilsen's balloon
in the foreground. Other modules were by Don Gaw, Richard Coons and
Rudi Pfieffer.
Here is a detail from Errol's yard, with Bob Hristov's new Baden station
in the background. If it wasn't for the lampshade in the back, this
could be a European vacation snapshot!
And here is Errol's turntable and roundhouse, with a Marklin E60 watiing
it's turn to ply the tracks.
The meeting wasn't just for the ETE members, but the entire family
was invited!
Our next meeting will be April 28th, at the home of Will van Oldenmark, in Vista.
