No “Race Trim” runs (sway bars & cat removed, slicks, race gas, etc.), and I don't plan to. Just 12.0s would be fine, as roll bar won’t be going into this car. I am more interested in a real street car that can drive in comfort (leather interior, power windows, air conditioning, heating, etc.) to the track.  Once there, I’ll unpack the traveling gear, lower the tire pressure, go through tech inspection, line up, and run a respectable time as it is driven on pump gas (OK, so it is 100 Unleaded… hey, I can get it at the Unocal pump!  hehehe…).

My current ultimate goal is 12.0’s @ ~115 on 91 pump gas, as driven… won’t even touch the tire pressure.  Since my 60’ will probably suffer (dunno how it can be worse than it already is, though), I’ll have to make it up in HP.  For this, a steel capped short block with ported stock heads & intake and is now being prepared so I won’t risk damaging my “numbers matching” block.  I don’t know if I will achieve my goal, but I’m going to try and I’m certainly going to have fun doing it!
