At no time may your roster exceed the maximum allowed or drop below the minimum for the team’s age group.
There is an eight day wait period from the time of approval on all adds and transfers before players are eligible to play.
Player Adds
1.Official Team Roster (goldenrod collected from coach)
2. CYSA FORM 1601 registration for each player signed by a parent with INK in TWO places (player does not need to sign)
3. BIRTH CERTIFICATES/PASSPORTS - (copies only as they will not be returned) for every player. For players with two part birth certificates, we need both pages.
4. PICTURES - school or passport qualilty picture of the face. Write the player name, team name & TIN # on the back of pictures. No hat or sunglasses.
Photo size – must be approx 1” by 1.5”. Small photos or large photos must be rejected.
Photo must be of head and shoulders only.
Photo must be clear and not too light or dark.
Player must be looking at the camera
.Do not truncate ears/head or chin.
5. CHECK - Payable to the SF Vikings Soccer League
Fall fees in the amount of $70 per player if your team has registered as an early registration team and $110 per player if your team is a late registration team. (Spring only $25.00).
Please write team name and TIN # and player last name in the memo field. Returned check fee of $25.00 applies .
6. SPECTATOR CODE OF CONDUCT form signed by parent/guardian.
If a team wishes to add a player but is at the roster maximum, a player may need to be transfered off the team and onto another team or released before the add can take place.
Coach/Adult Add
All Coaches, Assistant Coaches, Managers, Trainers and Team Assistants must register with the league. This requires the following:
1.Official Team Roster (goldenrod collected from coach)
2. Form 1628 (11/06 or later)completely filled out and signed.
3. One 1”x 1 1/2”PICTURES - passport qualilty picture of the face, no hat or sunglasses.
4. Copy of F license or above if giving any instructions to players during practice and/or games.
If you need a copy of your license, you may get a replacement from CYSA. Please go to http://www.cysanorth.org/Coaching/dupe_license.PDF to request a replacement.
Player Releases (sometimes refered to as a 'DROP')

Parent must understand this means their child can not play Spring soccer unless they first transfer back onto the team they left provided there is roster space and the team has not used up their maximum allowance of three transfers per soccer year. (August 1 - July 31)
Player Transfers
A team shall be limited to a total of three (3) transferred players on per seasonal year (August 1 - July 31) A transfer means the movement of a currently – rostered – USYSA player onto another roster, or a player who returns to the same roster within the current seasonal year. (Transfers off a team do not count against the three transfer limit; you may have unlimited transfers off a team up to your roster minimum unless the team is disbanding.)
Transfer from Vikings team to a Vikings team
Parents, Releasing Coach and Accepting Coach must sign the Player transfer form (#1606)
Submit with the transfer form:
1.Official Team Roster (goldenrod collected from coach)

Player pass
3.Original 1601 Registration form
4.Check payable to Vikings League for $20.00.
-players transfering from a guest team may have other participation fees for Fall soccer
Do not poach players. Please note * players, parents, coaches and team officials may not invite currently rostered players to 'join their team' if that team is participating in seasonal play. Please do communicate with the other coach/manager first. You can view their contacts by going to www.sfvikings.com and clicking on the schedule link followed by the appropriate team age and gender.
Within other District 1 leagues, please contact your home league for their procedures.
You will need the releasing league official’s signature for inter-district transfers.
Outside of District 1, please contact your home league for their procedures.
In addition to the releasing league official, you may need the District Registrar to sign off as well.
Please check with your home league of registration on how much lead time it takes to process paperwork.
Vikings requires one week. Guest teams within District 1 generally require 2 weeks. Please contact your home league for specific deadlines.
