How To Register A Guest Team

WAITLIST STATUS:
U9 - U11 rec teams that registered online on or after May 4 are at waitlist status.
U7, U8, U12, U13 & U14 rec teams that registered online on or after May 8th are at waitlist status.
We advise that waitlist teams follow registration instructions as ususal. We will accept teams that complete all registration steps as space becomes available as determined by the number of soccer pitches we are allocated by rec and park. For more information on wait list policy please click

These instructions are for teams that are registered with the Mission or PAL league and would like to apply to play in the Fall Vikings Playing Season. If you are a regular Viking League team, you should go to How To Form and Register a Vikings League Team.  

Guest Teams must complete player and team registration with their home leagues following the rules required by their home leagues. All coaches playing in the Vikings League are required to have an F license. You must provide a photocopy of your F license of above at the registration appointment. If you have lost or misplaced your license, you may obtain a duplicate by contacting CYSA http://www.cysanorth.org/Coaching/coaching.htm

Important Deadlines- No Guest Teams Will Be Accepted After May 24

You must have a completed golden rod or roster from your Home League with at least 10 players (in the case of U7 and U8 teams), 12 players in the case of U9 and U10 teams,  14 players in the case of U11 teams, and 15 players in the case of U12 and up teams. Guest teams will be accepted on a first come first serve basis based on space availability on the date of their appointment.

April 4 Guest Teams may register online
Apr 19 Guest Teams may call for a registration appointment during our regular office hours.
April 26 Registration appointments begin.
May 10 Last date to call for a registration appointment during our regular office hours (9 am - noon)
May 15 Last date for appointment to hold priority for space in the the league. See Waitlist Policy
May 24 Last date for an appointment to register guest teams with Viking League
June 15 Deadline to submit online Practice Field Requests to Rec and Park online. Primary Team Contact will receive an email with a password, priority code and link from Vikings after you complete your registration.
August 1 Deadline for Schedule Requests & to amend Team Census
August 9 Deadline to bring in paperwork/passes to Vikings office for roster changes (adding/releasing and transfering players for 2007/08) to be eligible for first game on September 8.
Week September 2 MANDATORY Team Meetings - ALL TEAMS

Step 1: Register Your Team To Play In the Viking LeagueClick on Registration-Guest Teams to register your team.  After you fill out the form you will receive a Team Identification Number (TIN) by email. Use the TIN on every correspondence to the Viking Office; it is essential to identifying your team and keeping everything straight. Guest Teams should be aware of the following policies if they might apply to your team:

Step 2: Complete Team Census
The
Team Census Form is essential for us to assess your team and place it in the correct division. You need to complete the Team Census prior to your appointment. If you need to amend the information in your Team Census over the summer, you have until August
1 to make changes.


Step 3: Have parents sign the Spectator Code of Conduct

The Spectator Code of Conduct , Spectator Code of Conduct Spanish Version must be signed by all parents and returned to the League at your appointment.

Step 4: Register your teams volunteer assistant referee
              -Deadline 10 am on the date prior to appointment
Teams must register their Volunteer assistant referee online Volunteer Asst Referee Registration before attending registration appointment. All teams participating in Vikings League must have at least one Volunteer Assistant Referee.

Step 5: Obtain Team Roster (Golden Rod) and passes from Home League
You must obtain your team roster (golden rod) and passes from your home league.

Step 6: Phone to Schedule An Appointment - Deadline May 10
By May 10th call the office at 504-8131 during office hours to schedule an appointment to register your team. We will start accepting phone calls for appointments on April 19. Appointments
begin on April 26 and must be completed by May 24. At your appointment, registration steps 1 through 5 must be 100% complete or your appointment will be cancelled!
Priority is given to Vikings League Teams. Guest teams may register early but will be on a wait list based on field availability.

Step 7: Attend Appointment to Submit Paperwork and Fees - Deadline May 24

At your appointment, you need to submit the following:

  • Your Team Roster (Golden Rod) from Your Home LeagueAny player movement (adds/release/transfers on or off) -forms must be complete and stamped by your home league registrar or they will be rejected. Code of Conduct Signed For Each PlayerYour 2006/07 passesCopy of Coaching License: All coaches, assistant coaches, & team assistants must provide a copy of their coaching license. Fees of $50 per player payable to Viking Soccer League with Team name and TIN written in memo field (we prefer one check).   • We will verify that you have completed your online registration of Volunteer Assistant Referee

Step 8: Submit Practice Field Request Form Online - Deadline June 15th.
Once you complete steps 1-7 Vikings will send the Primary Team Contact an email with a password, priority code and link to access Rec and Park's online request form. Your request must be submitted online by June 15 th.
When your practice permit is ready for pick up, you will be contacted by Rec and Park. Please be aware that it could be as late as September 1. Please do not contact the Vikings office.


Step 9: Obtain Viking League Stamp On Player Passes - Deadline August 9
You must have any additional player passes and paperwork into our office by August 9, 2007.  Please bring your team roster (golden rod) and any add forms and spectator code of conduct form signed by parent/guardian for player passes that require stamping to our offices during Vikings office hours. Any players submitted after August 9 will not be eligible to play at the opening game on Saturday, September 8, 2007.
The final deadline for all player movement paperwork is October
9 for partial Fall league play.

Step 10: Attend Mandatory Coaches Meeting - Week of September 2
