Viking League Waitlist Priorty Policy and Status   revised 2/16/2007

 

The Viking League is provided only a limited number of fields from the recreation and park department each year. In addtion, we have been able to supplement those fields with the Lowell High School Fields, Morton Field in the Presidio and Ft. Scott Field. If not for these supplemental fields, we would have had to limit the number of teams that we accepted in the league in prior years. In addition, we are never certain about how many additional teams may want to register.

At this time, we do not know whether or not we will have access to Morton Field or Ft. Scott Field and we will not know until sometime in May. As a result, we are setting a maximum number of teams based on both having those fields and not having those fields. If we do not get the fields, we will try to find alternatives but there are no guarantees.

Accordingly, if we are required to limit the number of teams, we will have to determine a priority ranking. Teams will be ranked by priority in the following manner:

1. Date and Time of Online Registration subject to the following:

  • You must call for and have an appointment to submit your paperwork on or before May 15 (there are only a limited number of appointments prior to that time so you must be sure to call early to get one)
  • At your appointment, which must occur before May 15, you must have the minimum number of players and complete all requirements

2. If your appointment is after May 15, your priority will be based on the date and time of your appointment provided that you meet all requirements at that time.
