Owned and operated a weekly newspaper in Mendocino County with a circulation of 10,000.
Served as editor and publisher on a 10-person staff.
Personally computerized both business and editorial areas of the operation.
Newspaper won awards from the California Newspaper Publishers Association, including "Outstanding Community Service" in 1982 for all weeklies in state and Best Advertising in 1981.

Lecturer, School of Environmental Studies and Planning and English Department, Sonoma State University, Rohnert Park

Taught The Human Environment and The Social Environment. These are two of the four classes which formed the school's "core."
Also taught Planning Environmental Media, Current Events in Environmental Studies.
In English Department taught Writing for the Media and served as adviser to the weekly Sun newspaper for one semester.
