I'm a proud and grateful native of the Bear Republic, living at the ocean with my wife Sinda, my son Kyle, a menagerie of pets, and several personal computers. I'm 49 and have already had three (slightly overlapping) careers: ten years as a professional radio broadcaster, twenty years in the personal computer industry, and nine years in medical informatics.

Where I live: Virtual Reality View of Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk area (requires Java). At night, we can see the brightly lit top of the Giant Dipper rollercoaster, in the relatively near distance, from our upstairs bedrooms.
