Sunday Night CalSkate Milpitas, Adults 21+ 7:30 - 10:30 A 180 x 80 real wood floor
in great shape.
Fun Skating Scene, usually Fast, and
Crowded (200-400), Intermediates and above will be entertained. Lot's of
regulars, and plenty of action. Music is OK, as they have to use the music to
keep from getting to crazy but still fun.
Sunday Night San Jose, A bargin night to bring the family to
skate. $2 per skater. What a deal!!
Monday Night San Jose, Adults 18+ 8:00 to 10:00 A 100 x 200
coated particle board floor in good shape.
The best night for adult beginners and
people who like room to skate. The large floor and a small crowd (30-40), means
you can get a great workout and room to work on new moves.
Wednesday Night

CalSkate Milpitas, Retro
Night 7:30 to 10:00. Open session. Music is a Great 70's - 80's R&B skating
beat, it will spoil you. When School is in session it's not to crowded.
Wednesday Night might be Cal Skates best night overall. The music is normally
great, Lakeside, Midnight Star, Zap, Marvin Gaye, Whispers, Kool n' the Gang,
Parliament, Prince.... the list and the beat goes on!

TUESDAY MORNING ADULT COFFEE CLUB & LESSON
A clean
well maintained rink, like Calskate Milpitas. 180x80 rink,
coated "roll-on" floor, good
sound system. The sunday night adult skate was canceled with only 8 people
showing up. I was able to skate for almost an hour and got a refund. I went
back Tuesday morning for the Coffee club and lesson. I would recommend either
session if your in the area.
Under New ownership and newly remodeled I’ve
heard it’s very nice. The new owners are skaters check out their web page!

Hi Bill,
I wanted to let you know that Valle Vista in Hayward traditionally has a
very
well-done American Dance Session each Wednesday night from 8-10 pm, you
may want to add that to your line-up. The Valle Vista floor is getting
bumpier
and the wood ever more warped under its plastic coating, but it has a pretty
strong artistic club and most of them skate the dances so nicely, that you
begin to forget the lumps and try to keep up. They also have
reasonable
Tuesday and Thursday night public sessions if you're in the Hayward area.

now called "The Skating Center" and

We anticipate a nice turnout with some hot
rexers from the bay area. I'm
going for the "oldies" (vinyl) they
may play as I am not much of a rexer.
Just an "old" artistic skater from
the 70's, trained in NOT WIGGLING
everything. I just love to skate.
