Star Hill, Native Son, and Bear Gulch (west) roads are all gated at private land, the 180-acre Broken Arrow ranch, owned by singer-songwriter Neil Young. Otherwise, you could take:

• Star Hill all the way from upper Tunitas Creek Rd. to Hwy 1 (along the coast north of San Gregorio between Stage Rd. and lower Tunitas Creek Rd.)
• Bear Gulch all the way from Skyline to Hwy 84 (two miles east of San Gregorio).
