| Mary Repstein(b) December 25, (year?) in London. She was one of 4 daughters born to Joseph and Esther Repstein. Her sisters were Kate, Fanny and Jane. | |
| Rose (Smith) married Lee. She was known as a beautiful, petite woman with a lovely voice. Rose and Lee worked in the same furniture store. Later in Luddington, MI Lee was President of Carrom industries (made carrom board, furniture for dormitories, hotels, etc.). They had two children: Barbara (a Vanderbilt graduate, who became a teacher and lives in San Diego, CA) and Kenneth (nic. Butch) who is a terrific artist and lives in Luddington, MI. Butch married Donna and had two children: Diane, Debbie. | |
| Bernard (Bernie Cohen) Arnold - worked in sales of furniture and then opened his own store. He married Esther and had a child by the name of Norma. After a divorce, he later married Sarah. Sarah worked in an office. They had two children: Warren and George. | |
| Arnold Aerol (Cohen) Aerol Arnold married Shelley (d at 21) Zorro's sister. Later he married Nita, a psychiatrist, who escaped Germany - worked in the underground and only after discovering there was a warrant for her arrest, fled Germany leaving a daughter there with her former husband. Aerol and Nita did not have children. They met at the University of Chicago - he got his Doctorate in English Literature there - she was working nearby. Aerol was in the strategic air command during the War and edited the reports of the Americans liberation of the camps. During that time, Nita joined the WAACs and became a Major with UNRA (United Nations relief organization - resettlement camps for refugees. They were separated for 4 years and during this time Nita met someone overseas and Aerol and Nita later divorced. Aerol taught English literature, and published in the Sheakespeare area. He taught at the University of Minnesota. Later he also taught at the University of California where he was highly regarded. During those years he also re-married to Anna Bing (wealthy philanthropist, actress) during that time. | |
| Reta Ruben(b) September 26, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois. Married Zorro Ruben in 1939. She lives today in her home in Tucson, AZ. During the depression she worked as a Vocational Advisor for the Cook County Welfare office, a public relief organization helping people find work in in the Work Project Administration. (She wanted to become a nurse, but after graduating from high school at 16 she was too young to take the entrance exams which at the time required that you be 18.) She used the skills she developed during the Depression to help Zorro build his businesses years later and raised two wonderful children as well. Children: Shelley Ruben Lipowich and Ethan Ruben. | |

his at 18. They went to school together at Roosevelt. They divorced, but he
later married Eve (artistic, paintor, good cook, gifted). They had two
children: Alexis (Lexi) (degree from Loyola, and executive with English top of the line Stereo equipment, married Harold but ended in divorce. Married John before she died of cancer in 1992) and Perry (Notre Dame, head of Political Science.) Married to Beverly. Children: Emma and . Lives near Perry in Indiana and visits with Reta in Tucson to get away from the midwest winters. |
