"The AquaZone Pools of Hope and Fear" is built on an ATV with a trailer as a base and operated by one driver (Neptune). Neptune will be driving a boat pulling the pools behind it. The ATV will be fully transformed into a boat. The trailer will be transformed into an oasis with sand colored carpeting, two pools, beach mats, palm trees, and a misting system. The sides of the trailer will be moving waves. For safe night driving, the palm trees, the boat, and the perimeter of the oasis will be illuminated by light rope and el wire.
There will be one pool of hope and one pool of fear. Each pool will contain specially treated waters based on the works of Masaru Emoto (see http://home.pacbell.net/stevko/AquaZone/AboutWater.html). Perched above the pools, overseeing them, will be a lifeguard to give away water and guide burners through the transformation.
We plan on transporting up to 10 passengers at a time. Upon reaching various locations, the passengers will disembark, and the show will start. There will be a
The AquaZone Pools of Hope and Fear combines art, engineering, purpose and interactive experience. It provides transformation as well as transportation. By giving people the chance to be involved, they are inspired to reach beyond what they thought possible for themselves - echoing the entire Burning Man experience. It also is their first step towards experiencing the difference between hope of the future and the fear of the past. With the differences being mostly symbolic. This trip is as safe as it can get while still providing a transformative experience.
The very first communities of mankind formed around the sharing of water. Giving water is an expression of hope and love. Burning Man, from the beginning, has been all about people transforming themselves in a harsh desert environment through a supportive community. In the tradition of both these ancient and Burning Man communities, we offer fellow citizens the opportunity to share water and be transformed by it. Burning Man citizens will experience the difference in the anticipation and optimism of dreams of the future hopes and the dreaded apprehension and anxiety of the past. Burners can dive into their Fears (our pool of fear-laden waters) or bathe in Hope (our pool of hopeful waters), safely guided through their experience by our specially trained AquaZone Lifeguards.
Enter the rear of the vehicle to take part in the experience. Present the lifeguard with a question and then he/she will intuitively assess whether to reach your goal it is beneficial to "dive into your fears" or "bathe in hope". You will then be guided into the appropriate pool and our specially treated waters will be applied to initiate your personal transformation. You will emerge energized and in a different state of mind. The lifeguard will then nourish you with waters collected from communities around the world, preparing you to continue your journey to personal growth. By sharing this experience with the citizens of Black Rock City, we hope to acculturate them with the values of the Burning Man community.
