Note: Misty O'Day passed away on 27 August 1998. We'll miss her. A little background on this special greyhound: she was found a couple of years ago starving and wandering in Baldwin Park, California, infested with ticks and fleas. She was very pregnant when she was picked up and dropped off at an animal shelter. All her puppies were stillborn. Luckily, she ended up being adopted by two very good friends of ours, Pat Lynch and Ron Stolte.

"Misty O'Day, known as
"Pie", is a 12 1/2 year old Grey Girl who lives in peace and harmony with Willow
Grey (Greyhound 8yrs), Bonnie Grey (Greyhound 4 yrs), and Binky-Marie (Papillon 11 yrs). "Although she sometimes finds it difficult to get up from
her bed or a lying position, she still enjoys many things in her life. She loves to
eat bread, yogurt, and meat loaf. She still loves to run for a short time with
abandon in her back yard. During the sunny mornings, she finds the sun spots on the
floor and stretches out in contentment."In the evenings, she always looks forward to her walks with the other Greys and loves to sniff every grassy patch she comes upon. "Mostly she likes to follow me around the house and wait for me to sit down so she can lie next to me. When I am in the bathroom, I always find her waiting for me on the other side of the door. When I am in the kitchen working, she lies in the dining room so she can see what I am up to.  "When we ride in the van, she is the Grey sitting up on the back seat getting ready to put her head on the pillow and sleep until we arrive at our destination. "Although she is getting slower and a bit clumsy, we love spending each and every day together content in each other's company. We will always be a part of each other...always." |
