descriptive information

The hull is built of unidirectional S-glass using vinylester resin. From a point approximately 10" above the waterline and through the underwater section the hull is solid glass. Above the waterline and through the deck is cored in klegecell (and H-80 divinycel in the rebuilt/upgraded areas).

The rig is a Sparcraft aluminum alloy spar, with 3 sets of aluminum spreaders set on horizontal thru-mast bars.

The standing rigging is Navtec rod, -22 in the headstay, capshroud and lowers, -17 in the backstay, -12 in the D2 and -8 in the D3.

Hydraulics are also by Navtec, with a solid vang, a cylinder housed in the boom to adjust the outhaul (on a reverse 1:2 lead), and the backstay. Control is from a panel starboard side by the wheel on a Navtec panel.

The motor is a Perkins 4-108 50hp naturally aspirated diesel, powering a Hurth V-drive transmission. The transmission spins a 19.5" Martec 2 blade folding propeller. We push along comfortably at 7.6 knots at 2100 RPM in relatively flat water.
