McDonald Lodge
 This
Lodge is too good to be true. It is located on the largest lake
in the park. Lake McDonald is 10 miles long over a mile wide and
470 feet deep. The lodge is a remodeled hunting lodge. Two places
to eat. One in the lodge and the other just outside. Two gift
shops and a nice bar. The fireplace is huge walk right in. Sure
beats those damn enviremently friendly behind glass window jobs.
My only complaint is I had to wait until the 6:20 AM when the
restaurant opens for my first dose of caffeine. No coffee makers
in the rooms. Now that is roughing it. I was glad to see that
there were no TV's but I need that caffeine in the morning.
