In 1970, MGM held an auction and sold Robby. The robot, along with his vehicle from Forbidden Planet, was purchased by the southern California prop-museum, Movie-World. This is an unusual photo of Robby just after his arrival at Movie-World Museum. Sadly, over the course of the next few years, vandals would strip Robby of many of his parts, such as the hoop sensors.
