Bob Keck
Token Collector
A Short History

 "66"  Retired,  I was an Elevator Service Mechanic
for 40 Years.    Married  47  years.
To the same one!  "Maris" aka Roger

We have three grown sons   One in Sultan, Wa.   One in Weston, Ne. and one near us here in Vallejo, Ca.

I first noticed tokens when we lived in Wenatchee Wa. in the 60's. I bought one and was hooked.  Soon we were transferred to Anchorage Alaska, by the Otis Elevator Co, our third transfer so far.
Then I just had to have some of those Alaska Tokens.

We transferred back to Seattle in Dec. 1970,  where I soon met Clarence E. Heppner!  *I don't know how, but he could smell a token 10 miles away. "Hep" soon became my mentor along with Forest Dunham.  A short time later I was introduced to Bary Bender. *(Boy what a lot of knowledge between those three).

At first I started collecting Seattle "good for's" and then on to one of each town.  When new tokens became hard to come by I started saving anything I could put in a 2 X 2,  from Wa.; i.e., Masonic Pennies, Dairies, Fraternal pieces, Hotels, then Weird "good for's" from anywhere.  *Does any of this sound familiar to any one so far?
I managed to acquire a fair collection of Tokens and Medals.

In 1985 we moved to Vallejo Ca. to stay with the Elevator trade. Well now I collect  Tokens from Vallejo,  Mare Island, &  Solano County. Also Tulare & Kings Co.

* I was born in Tulare * in 1938 *

I am slowly liquidating my various other accumulations.
Up  Jumps  eBay.com

What a gift.  A very easy way to get rid of stuff!!   It doesn't cost anything to bid and it only costs me  .65c to list something for sale and 5% of the sold price.  *I do find that good trade tokens go for 1/3 to 1/2 of cat.  and  junk tokens go for 2  or 3  times cat.  If you notice my ads you will see that my lot's for sale, come from "Vallejo Bob's Basement Junk Box!!"  Hey it works for me!

When you have time, drop me a note and tell me a little about your self and your life as a token collector and I will make a page like this for you on this web site.  Include want lists, dreams, a photo of yourself, or a picture, by Email, or send pictures by snail mail.

Thanks  Vallejo Bob
