These are just a few from my accumulation. I have seen over
200 different varieties. The most common reverses are shown
as an example of a few of the types of tokens you
can have made for yourself today. See the ad's in the
back of Coin World or similar publications.
Orders are normally in lots of 100, so these do become collectible due
to their availability. Normally priced between $3 and $8 dollars on eBay.
Yes these are still being made. I had my first one done
for antique dealer in Seattle.
We looked out his window a used the name and address
of an old hotel across the street. They cost about $65.00
a hundred, at that time, but more now days. This was in 1966.
He sold them in his Tourist trap for $5.00 each and did quite well.
The silver dollar is to give a reference to the size.
These are all pure hokey. Don't let any one tell you different.
Real ones?? YES!, but that is another story. They are
pretty well
cataloged and the tokens almost never say what they are really good for.
Most are good for a drink or something similar.
Most are just larger than a quarter and are very expensive.
