Hello!

My name is Greg Carpenter and here are a few items about myself such as hobbies and interests.

I'm 50 something years old, I graduated from Mayfair High School, Lakewood California and I now live in the San Franciso Bay Area. My main focus has always been electronics. My occupation is broadcast television engineering. I also have strong interests in physics, astronomy, r.f. design, sound recording, steam powered railroading and commodity investing.
My hobbies are ham radio and woodworking. I have just finished building a 33 string folk harp for a friend of mine as my first musical instrument project. In the photo above I'm holding a VLF loop antenna I made to recieve low frequency airport beacons. See my "ham" pages for more.

Below:

The reverse clock gives a brief resume of what I've done and where I've been.

There is a picture of a pig that leads to my 'ham' radio section.

The red, white and blue hot air balloon links to my balloon site with stories and photos of three helium
balloon flights all carrying amateur radio equipment.

NOTE...That photo was taken at the 1975 Mojave Air Show at Mojave California. That's Rod Worthington flying the balloon. Rod is the son of Cal Worthington the famous local So. California car dealer. Cal also flew the plane that provided KFOX in Long Beach with freeway traffic reports while I worked there.

The links at the bottom of this page are to family and friends.

This site belongs to a GREAT ham friend of mine KC6A.

This painting takes you to a great American Artist's site
complete with Genealogy.

This is a VERY good diet program that was recommended by a friend and now I'm on it myself. I'm using the "Thermogenics" product and have lost 20 pounds! True story. I make no money on this, but click on the ad, then use the FREE body mass index program to see if you need to loose a few pounds.
I did and it was easy to drop those pounds and feel great!
