Pain

Living inside herself,
Trying to hide the pain
That dwells inside,
Peace, hard to attain.

Inflicting sensations,
To bring on an alternate feeling
Pain diverts pain,
A different kind of healing.

Crying into her pillow,
Shattered, empty, alone
Seeking solace,
Scared of the unknown.

Repeating again and again,
I can survive,
Pain, that intense reminder,

she feels it.

She's still alive.
