Dining Out in San Diego
There are a numerous restaurants in Ocean Beach, Pacific Beach, Point Loma, Shelter Island, Downtown SD, and La Jolla. We have tried very few of them, but there are some we go back to time and again. This is a list of our favorite restaurants in the area. It is a good idea to call ahead as the information presented below can change without notice.
Though not restaurants, we highly recommend The Olive Tree Market for sandwiches, wine, and condiments; and NewBreak Coffee Company for a relaxed latte or cappuccino:
The Olive Tree Market. The market is small and surprisingly complete with a great wine selection. They also make excellent sandwiches. The Market faces onto Sunset Cliffs Blvd: 4805 Narragansett Ave. Phone: 224-0443 No Web Site.
NewBreak Coffee Company 1830-D Sunset Cliffs Blvd. This coffee shop is named after a Sunset Cliffs beach and one of the best surf spots on the cliffs. This is my favorite coffee shop in OB. They serve bagels, some pastry, and great coffee and tea drinks in a friendly atmosphere.

Mon-Fri 11:30am-9pm, Sat 5-10pm, Sun 5-9pm. Great ocean view.
