Translator Slot Antenna Patterns
 

The translator uses a pair of 16 slot waveguide omni-directional antennas.
The slot antennas were machined in wr-75 waveguide with dimensions calculated using
Paul Wades' spreadsheet.  The Taylor amplitude distribution was used as described by
Paul.  The first pattern was measured prior to installing the "wings", the resulting 10+ db
azimuth variation is close to Pauls' simulation results.

With the addition of 3" wings the azimuth pattern looks considerably better with peak to null
differences of about 4 db.
