  Should Congress Mandate Lifetime Tax Free Status For American Military Personnel Who Served In Harms Way?

TOPIC: Three things make American military personnel far different from public safety officers, merchant marines and civilian public servants... those are: pay, the UCMJ, and the inability to quit their jobs whenever they wish.

Few Americans risk their lives for their fellow citizens. The men and women who risk all and sacrifice all are the men and women who work for far less money than they could earn in the civilian sector, and work under a separate 'Constitution' called the Uniform Code of Military Justice. These men and women have no union and cannot simply say "I Quit" whenever they wish. These men and women are our military servicepersonnel who serve overseas in combat theaters.

All Americans pay taxes to keep our country safe. However, it is only our military personnel who keep our country safe at peril of losing life or limb. Their rewards are medals and if wounded, often a hard-fought battle with the military and VA to obtain deserved disability care and subsistence.
