For Mission Valley Carpool: Park on the street in front of the Methodist Church at 2111 Camino Del Rio South (west of Texas St.) NOTE: Leaders may not be at the carpool location. Important Notice Bring lunch, 2-3 qt. water, sun and rain protection, lug-soled shoes, and carpool money. Some hikes will be cross country or rock scrambling. "First timers" and those driving from other than Mission Valley must call the leaders. Also call in case of bad weather conditions. Poor or dangerous conditions or weather condition may cause hike to be moved or canceled. Please renew your membership!! NOTE: Due to closure of portion of Cleveland National Forest,

| Today Ron will lead our hike to Morena Butte. This hike is about 12 miles, partly on the PCT and moderately strenuous. Be sure to bring rain gear just in case. The hike starts promptly at 9:00 am. Exit Hwy. 8 at Buckman Spring Road and proceed 4.7 miles south to Oak Drive. Turn right (west), and continue 2 miles into the village of Lake Morena. Just beyond (west of) the village, you enter Lake Morena County Park. Park in the small lot for the Pacific Crest Trail, on the left, at the county park entrance. Mission Valley carpool (if there is one) leaves at 8:00 am | |
