Henry Miller Miscellanea
A41a 1945 FIRST BERN PORTER EDITION
White paper boards with Watercolor-Holograph Poster by Henry Miller, 1943. Clear wax paper wrapper.
Published June 1945, at $7.50, in an edition of 500 copies.
Note: Porter's signature appears in red ink on p. [xi].
A cancelled postcard written in Miller's hand has been inserted into a slit on page [43]. Most copies seen found the postcards written to Bern Porter but on one occasion, was addressed to Hunting Cairns. Due to the slow sales of this book and the inconvenience of writing and mailing out a contrived number of postcards, the expected 500 postcards for this edition were not written by Miller, and an unknown number of these books were remaindered without postcards.
A41b 1969 FIRST WALTON PRESS EDITION

Note: This edition differs from the Second Edition in leaf size, placement of the lettering on the binding, and most importantly, the notice on p. [x] has been shortened and deletes the name "Bern Porter."
