Note: This edition is one of 26 lettered and signed copies. It is distinguished from other issues by the slipcase, the lavender blue paper used for printing, the magenta leather spine, and the inclusion of Miller's signature which is enclosed in a specially made packet on pages [63-64].

Gray paper covered boards with a blue photograph of D.H. Lawrence, flanked on either side by a red leaf and vine. Clear acetate dust jacket. The paper used for printing is light cream, not lavender and the spine is in red cloth.
Published in April 1980, at $40.00, in an edition of 250 copies.
Note: On the first copy of this title of this edition inspected, the limitation number appeared under the colophon in red on page [61], with Miller's signature written on a separate sheet which had been bound in between pp [4-5]. On a second copy, hand printed in red ink on the colophon page, was "Author's copy" with Miller's signature written on page [61] above the colophon.
