Odell #5 Index Typewriter
This is an Odell #5. This was one of the first mass produced index typewriters with the first Odell being put out in 1889. Odells are seeked out by typewriter collectors for their unique type slide that angles right to the carriage. It prints in 41 lowercase or capital letters. The Odell #5 was the last model in the Odell series as index typewriters lost their popularity to the more conventional key typewriters.
