2nd time.

The last time I had seen Weezer was way back in 2001 after the release of the Green Album at Jones Beach Stadium it was a very cold and the sound was horrible!! Fast forward almost 4 years later I'm at Roseland and I couldn't be happier Roseland is a way better venue then Jones it's a decently sized place with great sound. I had met my girlfriend at work getting there an hour early it shouldn't be too big of a line right? By the time we had gotten there the line was wrapped around the corner way past the Ed
Sullivan theatre. We both thought "This line's for Letterman". We could not have been more wrong! I can't lie I severely underestimated my fellow Weezer fans this line was huge but we still managed to get a great spot near the stage. Before I go through with my review my apologies to the opening band Ringside who had to play through boos, chanting, the Weezer hand signs and people just plain giving them the finger which wasn't cool. I didn't know what to expect for the opening song. Would it be classic Weezer or the new Album? Well after hearing for years that Rivers doesn't like playing any of the songs from Pinkerton what does he do but open with Tired of Sex!! It was so awesome! The crowd exploded and the hits just came on coming with Brian singing Getchoo and the music from Make Believe sounded awesome. Everybody was singing along with almost every song with the exception of the new songs from Make Believe, which I'm sure next time around people will know the words just as well.
Rivers and the rest of the band seemed comfortable on stage and he addressed the crowd a few times but unfortunately due to everyone screams I could barely make out what he was saying. The highlights of the night for me are hearing Tired of Sex and Getchoo live that I never thought I would get a chance to. This was an great concert from beginning to end and I can't wait to see them again.
