Buddha Taught

Buddha taught that one should clearly understand three things:

(1) Attraction or enjoyment

When you see a pleasant, charming and beautiful person, you like him or her, you are attracted, you derive pleasure and satisfaction from that person. This enjoyment is a fact of our experience.
(2) Impermanence or unsatisfactoriness
When that same person or condition changes or is not in our life, one finds it unsatisfactory and one suffers. One may become unreasonable, act out and may cause harm to oneself and others.
(3) Freedom or liberation
Detached or impartial view of sense pleasures, persons, objects and conditions leads to liberation in this life time.
