I was
on an outing on the levee of the Sacramento River in Yolo County when I
painted this. This location was on the other side of the river from
the Sacramento International Airport. The river was to my back and
I'm facing south. The painting was a field and I was just going to
use one page of my journal. But as I was working an airliner flew
overhead and it seemed to fit just right. I continued the painting
onto the facing page and abandoned the original idea. I wanted to
include this to show how there are many accidents in art, and life, that
one can use to make the product more interesting.
