Principal  Members  of Power-X  Group

POWER-X principals and principal consultants have extensive experience in developing, designing, engineering, financing, constructing and operating domestic and international waste-to-energy, power generation and industrial projects.  Experience and background of some of the participants of POWER-X group are:
 

A. Zia R. Khan

Mr. Khan is an Electrical Engineer licensed by the State of California.  He has over 30 years of experience in the design, engineering, and project management of wastewater treatment and electric power generation systems.  He has performed both technical and economic feasibility studies for Wastewater Treatment, Power Generation, Cogeneration and Desalination projects.  He has helped in developing commercial and multilateral financial structures for such projects.

He is involved in Engineering, Financing and Marketing of various types of Electrical Power Generating Systems.   One of his areas of expertise is to engineer, design, finance and construct anaerobic digester wastewater treatment facilities and cogeneraton plants using methane (digester gas) gas recovered from confined cattle & hog operations and municipal sewer treatment anaerobic digesters.
 

B. Ben R. Goehring

Mr. Goehring, has extensive management experience. From 1957 to 1988, Mr. Goehring was involved with Goehring Meat, Inc. In 1969, he assumed the presidency of Victor Brand Meats, a family owned business, which at the time had about $1 million in sales. Under his leadership the company grew to $350 million annual sales with 11 national manufacturing locations. The company, a commodity business with very low profit margins, grew exclusively via cash flow from operations. Mr. Goehring managed all phases of the company's operations including finance, strategic planning and domestic and international marketing. From 1988 to 1990, Mr. Goehring was vice president of public relations for Victor Fine Foods. From 1990 until the present, Mr. Goehring has been a consultant with Bentwood Enterprises. Mr. Goehring is Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Bank of Lodi and ProStyle Sports, Inc., honorary director of the National Meat Association and serves as a Board Member of the FBC Church; Mokelumne River School; and several environmental companies.  He is a member of many civic, fraternal and professional organizations.  Mr. Goehring has a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California at Berkeley.
 

C. Dudley J. Burton

Dr.Burton, has been involved in environmental research and education since 1972.  He has a Ph.D. from the University of California, Berkeley and has taught at

            1. University of California, Santa Cruz,       2. Brown University,
            3. Baylor University                                      4. California State University, Sacramento.

He has published two books and numerous articles on energy management, hazardous waste treatment technologies, and on-site wastewater treatment systems.  From 1987 to 2001 he developed and directed an ANSI-approved certification program for aerobic on-site wastewater treatment systems.
Dr. Burton has lectured throughout the world on environmental issues and is currently Chair of Environmental Studies Department, California State University, Sacramento.
 

D. Steven J. Keating, JD-MBA, CFA

Mr. Keating has post graduate degrees in Finance and Law.  He has undergraduate degrees in accounting, economics and international relations.  He has been involved in developing projects worldwide including China, Germany, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Pakistan and South Africa.  His project development activities have involved him with public and private companies and governmental agencies including various public and private utility companies and electricity boards in the USA and abroad.  He has produced strategic plans, private placements and public offerings for public and private sector corporations and arranged debt equity funding for U.S. and foreign projects with U.S. banks and financial intermediaries.  He has drafted major new legislative packages for the House Speaker’s Office, and other legislative bodies and represented several clients before Congress and various Federal Agencies.
